Hey guys, I am seeing some listings on google showing a video or a pic, is there any way to get each kw you are pushing for to show [include] a video or pic in the SERP's please?
#pic #serp #show #video
  • Video SEO is the only way. Make Title of the video as Keyword rich and write more than 100 words about the video in the description by using keywords and keyword variations.

Yes you can add keywords to your videos at youtube or vimeo and your images with the keywords as caps on them. This way they will rank on both pages at SERPS.

Since your remark was directed at my question and not directly to the OP's advice and post, it obviously led me to assume that it was directed at my question. Ok, if not then my apologies.

Google thinks that image is a Video so it is showing as a video result.
If you click options and go to video you will see it shows up as the first video result.

I have no idea why Google is under the impression that this is a video.

The other thing I am noticing is that some SERP's show a full ad on the right side of the SERP's, why is that or what can someone do to have this happen for each kw?

Post an example of what you mean. Sounds like you are talking about something that is not an ad, but I want to be sure.

I tried searching for the kw which led me to the guy's listing but it's not there, I do come across these listings, when next I should I will post here. I am not sure I am using the right word saying it is an ad but that is what it looks like, all the regular 10 listings as normal in the SERP on the left but like a big full listing showing on the right for just one of the listings on the left.

That usually is not an ad. It is a featured local business.

That comes from doing some really good local SEO work.

You are talking about something like this I think.

Yes, that is it exactly. Is that's simply a luck of the draw for google to feature it that way or is there something specific one can do to get that for all of their kw's?

    It's not luck.

It requires your business has a location in the city (or, for small cities, a nearby city), setting up the Google business page correctly, and, generally speaking, being known in your city (i.e., citations).

Yep. It basically means you have to do really good local SEO and pretty much get Google to see you as THE authority in the area.

For the most part, those only show up when you do a search for a specific business by name.

I recommend you use microdata markup on your page. This is the easiest way for Google to identify additional information on your page designed for specific SERP display:

For video thumbnails on search results, I use Open Graph video tags:

    The Open Graph protocol

This will also allow your content to be picked up by social media networks when sharing.
