Novice users like I once was didn't realize the up until now that "if you understand search analytics, google's penguin algorithm and how it works" & "having a good understanding of english and can write unique content as required" SEO is a breeze.
Generally, beginners tend to neglect these important points and do the opposite that is directory submission, social bookmarking, etc which is a strict NO to avoid penalties.
To conclude, if you understand how this all works then it is easy otherwise it gets tough.

Its not hard but when you do it manually without any premium tools like ahrefs, semrush, long tail pro it takes hell of time and you will never get success.

Good SEOs are people who can write and sell themselves/websites. If writing is difficult for you and you do not have the people skills you need to establish backlink relationships, it will be very hard. If you can write and are great at marketing, SEO is considerably more easy.

I dont think SEO is hard or easy. It all depends on the keywords you are targeting. If you are going for huge keywords then SEO is extremely hard.
