What is the best way to get a backlink indexed

I have been doing a lot of backlinking lately and some links simply aren't getting found that I think should be found.

There are a few ways I try to expose the backlink
Ping it
Tweet about it
Submit the URL to Google

What methods are you finding useful?
#backlink #indexed
  • None of them are useful. Sometimes sharing backlinks in G+ will work.. Apart from that, we can't index backlinks quickly. I have tried many options none of them work

That tells you the links are weak.

A strong page/URL will have it's own followed backlink profile and usually be constantly recached (cache date).

Sounds like the force. :-) You have weak links Luke.

I figured as much, but it could be I haven't given them enough time to be indexed.

In Google Webmaster tools there is a link that allows you to submit a URL.

    https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...t-url?hl=en_uk

They do say that "We don't add all URLs submitted to our index and we can't make predictions or guarantees when or if URLs submitted will appear in our index."

Not to be a dick, but that seems like a really, really bad idea.

You have to be signed into a Google account to do that.

So they could easily see something like you submitted 10 URLs that all have links to the same website.

      What could go wrong?

You might as well just send them an email saying, "Hey I wanted you to know I built these backlinks to my website in an effort to game your search algorithm."

I'd just link to the article on the other site from Google+ and leave it at that. If it is a page worth indexing, Google will index it very quickly after that. If it isn't, it won't get indexed no matter what you do.

The first rule of backlinking should be to backlink on pages that you don't need to worry about indexing a backlink.

If you have to worry, fret, cajole, urge, con, a backlink to be indexed....then why are you spending more time doing that then backlinking?

Nobody into SEO should be asking what's the best way to get a backlink indexed.

And that is me being kind today.

I dont care if google knows I wrote ten blogs post this week. I want them to know that. So backlinks or not, SEO or not, I just found it useful that when i put out a new page on my site I can go to google and submit it right away, Thank You!

That's a pretty good article. Good read.

At the rate I am submitting URLs, I doubt Google would care. I could see if I was submitting hundreds a day, but a few a day probably isn't going to cause any red flags.

A few a day... that is like 50-100 per month. You are creating one hell of a footprint.

Seriously, if you are building good links, there is zero reason to put in any additional effort into getting them indexed. Google will find them.

I think, it should be not question at all

It's backlinks, Not your own website that need to be indexed, you will get the link juice if you get relevant and quality backlinks, So don't worry about, it would be index or not.

    hope you understand!
