Rankings Oddly Jumping Spots

Do you guys ever deal with a KW that will jump 14 spots then when you check it again it's right back where you thought it would be? I have a KW that is marked as 21 ranked but then every once in a while the past couple of days I see it at position 7? Not sure if that is an indicator of future movement. I'm pretty curious though.

    You did not say how old your page was and how long you have been ranking for the phrase. You also did not say whether you were checking from the same device in the same location each time nor did you indicate whether you are always signed into Google or not or if you were browsing incognito or not every time. All of those things influence the rankings.

    Nevertheless, if you are checking your rankings every day, that is at least 7 times too often (we check ours monthly). Surely you have better things to do with that time.

    That may be to you checking on same device. You'll notice sometimes that rankings will vary compared to checking on your device vs somewhere else. The best options are to sign out of google if logged in, switch devices, search incognito or use rank checker to see where really rank.

    I made sure I was logged out of google and I did try it on two separate devices. It did the jumping on both a pc and my phone. That being said it shows up as ranked 21 on serps.com
