Most of that is nofollow links or zero authority and not going to rank any page.

    Waste of time.

According to you Most of that is nofollow links or zero authority and not going to rank any page. Can you tell what actually works? I am still in learning phase so your guidance will be of great use as i also do above mentioned techniques.

      Thanks.

        Sure...

You need followed backlinks that are directly on webpages that have their own followed link profile. Those are pages that have authority flowing into them from other webpages.

In the diagram below your followed backlink would be on the yellow page. The green page would be your own webpage, the domain/page you're trying to rank on Google SERPs.

          Thanks,

But i don't understand where does no follow come into play? I mean for example if social bookmarking and blog commenting are no follow then why it's still recommended and practiced? And what is actual use of a no follow links?

The problem is you're finding bad info. on the web.

Nobody is ranking pages with nofollow links.

Nofollow backlinks are what webmasters use when the link isn't trusted or it's a paid link.

Most social links are nofollow. Even If they were followed links they would typically be weak links because there's no supporting links pointing at the average social page. Social is for direct traffic, not SEO.

              Buddy Yukon,
Can you help me out to solve this?
When i do link building on Social bookmarking and classified sites it happens that the links does not appear publicly on the websites although i can see the links when i log into my profile. What can be the reason for this please help. I have done privacy settings to public still no improvement. Also if you can tell me how to make my back-links on SBM sites as permanent as it happens that the link or accounts are deleted sometimes.

              Really stuck on this thing.

Go back and read what I've already explained.

Social links don't matter for SEO. Nofollow links don't matter for SEO.

The easiest way to know Google is even looking at a link is to look at the Google Cache (text version) of the backlink page after the link is added and the page cached/recached.

Again, If the link is nofollow it doesn't matter, it's not ranking anything.

Bookmarking does nothing, there's no supporting links.

Most classified ad pages do nothing, they're usually disposable pages that expire and nofollow links.

You can offer some useful resource to your blog readers and provide a code snippet(with a link to your website) through which they can embed it in their own website. In this way they provide a backlink to your site which is definitely going to benefit. Example:- infographic
