Easy Google Adsense affiliate link question

Ok, so Google doesn't like you to use affiliate links in Adsense, but if you're wanting to throw a lot of potential affiliate programs up to see who's the winner with initial PPC advertising (before investing in a site and creating the squeeze page, etc). You can't use a simple redirect, right? So how are many of you doing this?

Thanks for your replies!

  • I had the same problem recently. It was suggested to me to start out with Yahoo! or Bing advertising first, then move on to Google once I got the hang of things. I haven't gotten around to try it out yet, but it sounds like a winner to me!

    • I didn't know that about Google Ad Words.
  • Google has nothing against affiliates direct-linking as long as the site you are linking to has a good landing page (as defined by Google).

You don't want to be direct-linking in Adwords because of the rule that only one domain can appear per set of search results. Because of this you won't get as many impressions as you could if you had your own landing page because you are competing with all the other affiliates out there.
