They may appear to be "dominating" because nobody else has done a good enough job of creating a better authority site for those products. None of those Big websites are optimized around your particular niche. They happen to have products that are the same. You compete by having better product descriptions, fantastic buyer's guides and offering expert advice and personal customer service - something that Amazon, etc. do not have a chance at being able to do. We rank ahead of Amazon, Walmart, etc for many, many keyword phrases with many, many websites.

I am not talking about amazon.com or online retails I am talking about the big authority affiliated websites such as bestproducts, tomshardware, pcmag, techradar, cnet, pcadvisor, trustedreviews, toptenreviews (and those are some of them just in the technology niches but they have tons of other website in others niches like home improvements beauty and fashion ).
There are hundred of these affiliated websites owned by few large competitive media companies like CBS, TIME, Purch and Hearst. If they are already competing with each and making millions of dollars in commissions by spending generously on their websites and professional teams, how can a normal person who doesn't have thousands of $ to spend on promoting hiring SEO team and professional writers?!!

    am not talking about amazon.com
Title is "Question about Amazon competition"....

You don't have to compete with Hearst or Time or any of the other big names you thought of - you don't need to be the top dog in any niche...you only need to get your share of that niche.

A niche with no competition is a niche where no one is buying....

Sorry for the title I may change it, but I mean to say I am not talking about competing with amazon.com itself but with it's many affiliated authority websites, how to get my share if they are dominating the first results in Google ! is it worth to waste so much time building your website and spend tons of money outsourcing high quality contents and buying backlinks then not be able to gain a good revenue, provided that the commission given by amazon is very law!

If you believe building a website is a waste of time - maybe it's not for you.

You don't HAVE a "share" until you do what is necessary to earn a share of profits in any niche. You have gotten good answers in your threads but you keep asking the same questions after people answer.

You are overthinking things - would be better to choose a niche, build a site and start promoting it (no need to spend "tons"). You can learn as you DO and much of the advice will begin to make sense to you.

I already started I am in the tech niche the thing that is related to my education but unfortunately so much competition that I need to hire quality writers to ensure highest quality plus getting backlinks is essential for ranking in Google against other competitors, I don't have any pricey SEO tools right now I try to do research manually it can take days to research products and study the market in hope to find something new to offer that no one else is offering because thats the only way it can work in 2017.

Find the keywords where they're dominating because they exist not because they've done anything to dominate.

    If they dominate
lose belly fat, lose belly fat fast, lose belly fat quickly and you compete on those keywords, you lose.

But if you compete on how to lose belly fat when you're 50 or how to lose belly fat and diabetes, (which, I'm assuming nobody's gone for), you win... Yes, these keywords have less traffic. But the point is not how much traffic keywords have but how much of it can you get to look at your pages.

Yup, 0% of 1,500,000 visitors is 0 visitors to your site but 30% of 100 visitors is 30 visitors to your site.

    Which one do you prefer?

This all comes down to niche selection. There are a ton of things I am interested in or have special knowledge about that would have been great to build websites around. Unfortunately, they were way too competitive. You have to find a niche where you are not going against nothing but home run hitters on page one.

You may not believe it now, but no matter what niche you pick, when you start making money with it, you become very interested in the products and quickly become an expert. In some ways, it's a good thing that the things I was passionate about were so competitive. I never would have learned so many things about so many different products, otherwise.

    That's wrong.

If no one else is sellng in that niche....it means no one is BUYING in that niche. Competition is a good thing.
