Question on Customizing Organic Search Sources on Analytics

Question for the experts. I know if I go to Google Analytics > Admin > Property/Tracking Info > Organic Search Sources, I can add/edit what websites appear as organic traffic sources on Analytics.

However, I think I'm doing something wrong in setting it up.

For each, I know I have to add a Domain Name and Query Parameter. Can you help me determine the following?

  1. For the domain name, can I type in examplesite.com, or does it have to be http://examplesite.com or some other URL format?
  2. For the Query Parameter, I know in some instances I can type in 'q' what that appears in the query string ahead of a search (or whatever the related term is). However, is there a way to set up a query parameter for sites that don't have a specific moniker to delineate search results, and have it track as organic search in Analytics? For instance, examplesite.com/anything-that-follows-from-here will still show up in Analytics under 'Organic'?
The organization I'm tracking for has particular needs in terms of organic search tracking that they want pooled into organic traffic instead of referral traffic, so this would help save a lot of manual work down the line.

Thanks for the help, everyone! Greatly appreciated.
