Hi,

since we now do target two different locations, we want to set up two unique local landing pages, which means that I need to move my former landing page from abc.com to abc.com/location1.

What would you recommend me to do to ensure to maintain the ranking from abc.com for the new landing page abc.com/location1? 301 wouldnt make sense here I assume since I still want to have a general page on abc.com!?

Thank you so much,

Fabian

Make a general page on abc.com and put up new content on abc.com/1 and abc.com/2

Well that was the plan. Question was how to do it in such a way that the ranking is maintained!

    Anyone?

Please let me know, even if there is nothing that I can do to minimize damage. In that case I will just move ahead and eat the bullet now.. I guess then the only thing would be to try to change all backlinks to the new sub-folder asap!?

    Thanks!!
