Newbie Question: Expired Domain Registration

Hi

I'm still pretty new to the world of PBN's so I hope you can help with me elementry question.

I have bought my first expired domain on Godaddy. It seems as though once I've bought it, it is now registered with GoDaddy? I know about the importance of reducing footprints and I'd hate to register all of my domains at one place.

My question:

How do I go about registering an expired/deleted domain that I have bought with godaddy on another registrar like NameCheap etc?

    You would have to transfer it to Namecheap.

    It's really not necessary though. GoDaddy is the largest registrar (or close to it) in the world. Having your domains with them really is not a footprint.

    I agree with Mike. If you've only got one domain currently. There is no need to transfer it. If you had 100 domains. Then you would want to spread them across different registrars. Aim to register them first time with a different registrar, as transferring domains can be a pain (and incur an extra cost).
