Google Adwors account suspended!?!

Hello,

Just wondering if any fellow warriors have had this problem, and whether or not they were banned from Google Adwords forever or what...

Google sent me this:

"It's come to our attention that you have submitted ads that promote a misrepresented affiliation with Google or links to products which make unrealistic promises about making money via other internet websites. Due to multiple complaints from our users and publishers, we've made the decision not to accept these ads. As part of our on going efforts to provide our users with high quality ads, we are taking action against accounts that promote deceptive advertising and sites.

This is a notification that your account has been suspended due to the submission of these ads and your ads will no longer run on Google. Please note that future accounts you open will also be suspended.

As noted in our Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right to terminate advertisements for any reason. To view our Terms and Conditions, please visit https://adwords.google.com/select/tsandcsfinder.

We appreciate your cooperation."

I was simply sending traffic to a review of a product, which then gives 3 top recommendations. None of the products made any ridiculous claims about making money.

This sucks!

Any input is greatly appreciated!

did any of the products you promoted misrepresent an affiliation with google? for example: "get checks from google" type of things?

nope, none of that. i was just giving my opinions on a product that I happened to try out and recommended a few products under the review, one of which happens to be mine which is on a different URL.

i was helping the visitor save $200 by showing them a cheaper, better route.

It won't matter to Google, they look at these issues from their advertisers ( clients ) point of view, in effect their ads are shown in association with the content on your site.

I find this quote of their interesting:

links to products which make unrealistic promises about making money via other internet websites
Maybe you should take a look at your sales copy, they obviously have, and deemed it to be "unrealistic" ( read scam )

that's the thing, the product i'm reviewing is a website builder of sorts, it has only a little to do with the "making money online" niche

It could also be that some of your previous ads were the problem, not your most recent omes.

Either way it looks like Google is jumping on the spam clean up wagon like many other systems are.

Sorry you lost your account too btw.

Google, the FTC and the affiliate networks are all cracking down. Unfortunately, your Adwords acct is probably gone for good.

I think you're right, my account is prolly gone for good... unless I start a new one under a new name with a new card which can't be under my name, and promote a different website. ugh

i think i'll just get accounts at all the other ppc search engines and hope together they equal at least half of the traffic i was getting from google

You must have done something to p... google off, they don't term accounts that easily. You can possibly remove the product(s) and ask google to accept you back.

Read their TOS and avoid this issue in the future.

    Cheers,

Google is a stickler & very one sided when it comes to their TOS. Once you've seen the scorn of the big G it's hard to get back in good graces. Unfortunately a lot of good people have had bad experiences with them over very small misunderstandings.

I think you're trying to find out how to get your adwords account back. Okay, here's what you do.

    1. Print out all your 2009 expenses. You will need this info if you're going to write off your advertising expenses for 2009.

    2. Close your google account. This means you will close EVERYTHING related to the google account (adwords, gmail, analytics).

    3. Wait about 1 month.

    4. call your credit card company and ask them to send you a new credit card for an authorized user. Ex. John Doe. Try not to use the same credit card you originally had on file with your suspended account.

    4. create a brand new youtube account-don't use anything that resembles your old google account. use a different password. cover your tracks.

    5. upload a video and promote it via ads.youtube.com.

    6. Setting up a youtube ads account will automatically create a new adwords account for you. Promote the youtube video for about two weeks and let google have their first chance of billing you. Once they bill you, go ahead and jump back on adwords. Just be careful not to promote the same crap that got you banned in the first place.

    7. You can thank me later.
