Why can't the search engines figure out my site without SEO?

Search engines are smart, but they still need help. The major engines are always working to improve their technology to crawl the web more deeply and return better results to users. However, there is a limit to how search engines can operate. Whereas the right SEO can net you thousands of visitors and increased attention, the wrong moves can hide or bury your site deep in the search results where visibility is minimal.

In addition to making content available to search engines, SEO also helps boost rankings so that content will be placed where searchers will more readily find it. The Internet is becoming increasingly competitive, and those companies who perform SEO will have a decided advantage in visitors and customers.

You are mistaking "figuring out" with "ranking."

Google needs very little help. Or at least what you can give it. They have all the help they need from computer engineers that are paid handsomely for being the best in the business.

I always chuckle about spam posts like this.

The question is similar to this one:

"Why can't starbucks figure out what I want without ordering?"

Seriously. I mean you not only have to walk in the door, but you have to order something. How 20th century is that?

I can't even read this thread without laughing.

Ummm.....like the internet wasn't competitive before now?

Actually, the companies that have a real business plan that include things like paid advertising, are most competitive. Seriously....I have no clue as to why amazon advertises...

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

Even without SEO search engines can figure out websites and with SEO it only guides them what pages really exist on the site.
