My designer messed up my X-Robots tag and gave a no follow no index directive through some security protocols on our servers and they were de-indexed before I could catch it. I just cant bring them back. I did remove quite a few links thinking it was a toxic link problem at first. I put all the links back and rechecked everything added great content, interlinking, schema and just cant seem to get them back. Has anyone noticed any rankings drop from a subsequent problem,or, had anyone dealt with this before?

There were massive drops in rankings for many sites that began around March 7 as part of what is being called the "Fred" Google algorithm update. That update seemed to target sites with thin, duplicate or otherwise unoriginal content and also targeted sites that seemed to exist only to generate revenue through ads/links with nothing all too helpful or different in the content.
