Hi, Can anyone offer any help?

Firstly, I am not sure why my partner's website is showing in the omitted results for certain search terms (the main) one - the website is here https://goo.gl/gTrP3Q - search term "Pet Portraits".

On the previous hosting for this search term, the homepage ranked in the 40s (previous - 1-3 years ago) had been on page 1 for a few years)

Recently moved hosting (about 6 weeks ago) due to previous hosting load time being very poor. Had a problem when migrating in setting up the https (website was http on previous hosting) but sorted about 2 weeks ago.

When Fetch and Render in Google the site pops back to be about 140+ but then after a few minutes/hours goes back into omitted results.

Last day or so, set up hreflang with german 'sister' website. That hasn't made any difference.

Submitting sitemap - Google only seems to want to index 14 pages out of 27.

The website ranks on page 1 in Bing.

Anyone able to offer any help?

I`ve audited your website quickly and in fact it doesn`t seem to have any on-page issues, nothing`s restricted from indexing, and nothing looks broken, the sitemap`s also fine. Yet, Google seems to have a bit of mishmash of your pages in its index.

It`s just a guess, but is there a chance you haven`t created a new Google Search Console property for the https version of the site after moving? Looks like this may be the reason for Google not to even associate your https pages with your domain (you have to create a new property in this case as it`s treated as a site move with URL change by Google, and the data is not being shared between http and https properties at all).

Omitted results show pages from sites that have 1 page in the non-omitted results.

Your homepage shows 185 for me.

These two ARE in the omitted results:

    https://www.finepetportraits.co.uk/price-list/ and
    https://www.finepetportraits.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.

Which makes sense to me: 1 has nothing to do with the search, the other is not that great of a fit for the search. If you want the price-list one to not be in the omitted results, give Google a reason to not omit it. (Make its content relevant yet different from the homepage (or, more different). And get backlinks to it.

      Thanks DABK

For the search term "Fine Pet Portraits"
the home page (or any page) is/was in the omitted results... it was yesterday, and the day before, and this morning...

For me, you're 117 for that term (your home page is, that is).
