Why my keyword ranking drops tremendously?

One of my kws ranked at the very first position at the first page of google, while recently its rank drops, and I can't even find my site within 10 pages.
Just wanna know what causes it? And how to fix it?
BTW: the way I ranked that kw: I hired some freelancer to write good article with anchor text, and dropped a few blog comment and forum links as well.
