What is the prospect of becoming a SEO Freelancer?

I learning about SEO and thinking about becoming a SEO Freelancer. I want to know if it is possible to earn a full time income this way?

What are the ways to earn money doing SEO freelancing? I'm guessing that the first way is to make a website about my seo service and try to rank that website to the top so people and companies can find and use my seo service. Is this a possible way? Would my clients limited to my own country or would they be internationally?

The other way I can think of is to find work through Upwork. How hard is it to find work there? I heard that some people could earn a lot by just freelancing through Upwork, is that true?

The third way I can think of is selling a seo gig on like Fivver or other online marketplaces. But in Fivver the gigs are very cheap so I don't earn much. And most seo gigs on Fivver are not that effective. So maybe there are other better online marketplaces were you can provide high quality seo services and charge a bit more?

Above are the 3 ways I can think of on how to be a seo freelancer. I'm not sure if they really could work out? Or are there other ways to be a seo freelancer and earn a full time income?

    1. become an seo expert, if possible get certificates to show your expertise
    2. build a portfolio: show results(only then you can score new clients)
    3. Search clients online like fiver, upwork, ...


    extra: if you cant find clients, you can always do a "free" project or at a very good price. See it as a small investment for your future.

    Don't be one of those people who list methods of achieving a goal and fail to implement any and end up not achieving that goal.
    Since you already know several route you can take, decide on one and follow it. Stop looking for the perfect or the best route / method.
    The question is can you achieve your goal of full time income providing seo services through any of the methods you list? And the answer is you can with any one of them if you follow through diligently.
    Since you already know these methods, start implementing one or more of them today.

    A: Yes, this is a possible way. Your clients will be internationally and your own country. You should prefer your own country, because you can contact and work with them easily with same language and custom.

    A: yes, it is true. I works with my SEOers through Upwork, and I pay average $300/month, they also work with other clients.
    You can upload your profile in Upwork with your experience and your rate, then find the job and bid. At beginning, you can put your pay rate lower than your competitors. After gain the trust through successful jobs, you can adjust your rate higher.

    A: I saw some sellers make thousands USD per month by Fiverr, you can see they have a lot of new rating. I used to make hundreds per month at Fiverr, but it is very competitive now. You can try similar site as: Seoclerk, Konker, Warrior Forum For Hired also. You need to create good sale pages, promote it, gain some good reviews and get money.
