To rank your keywords highly, you need to start building backlinks to your website. The backlinks should be dofollow, contextual (surrounded by text related to your keywords), and on high DA (domain authority) sites.

Page rank is not a thing to get first-page rank, You just need to generate traffic to your website, That's enough.

I think what some others here have been trying to say is that Google does not publish page rank anymore. The last time they updated page rank was in 2013 and officially said in 2016 that it would never be updated again. That doesn't mean that their algorithm doesn't have some sort of page rank element to it. What is does mean is that nobody has access to it anymore.

Therefore, there is no such thing as a "high page rank" site. You can probably get to page one with better links from sites that rank very well that are related to your website.

I think Yukon was objecting to two out of the three things that you stated would help the page rank better, namely "promote it more on social networks, add new content regularly", neither of which have anything to do with getting an already existing page to rank better.

Social links are nofollowed and Google could not possibly have said it more times - that social is not part of their algorithm. Freshness of articles is also irrelevant, although writing more can help those new individual pages rank better because each new page could be targeting a completely different keyword phrase that previously was not targeted. "Regularly" implies that the amount of time between posts has an effect on ranking an existing page, which it does not.

Thanks, that have sense. I should explain better. Since in discussion I thought other members already explained that he should not chase PR but just do SEO and I think he asked what to do regardless chasing PR, ...
On the other hand, I wouldn't agree with you about connection between amount of time between posts and rankings, but of course any 2 SEO's will have different view on lot of ranking factors.

I think it will largely come down to how competitive that keyword is, if there is a lot google and others will be looking at a lot of things but if your blog is new this will count against you, aged domains do get priority, at least that's my experience.

My blog is just 4 months old and I am there at the 3rd page for the keyword----> How to get rid of dandruff

also for the keyword How to get rid of dandruff naturally on the second page top.

My blog-- > Holistic Doctor Online .com

      has not enough back links
my blog is just 4 months old
      very less page rank.

So I think domain age is not necessary.

I thought page rank is important to come to the first page, as of now every one are saying its not.

    hi.Richardson Harry.

you don not need page rank to go to the fast page.
    Basically your need This:
    1. Good keyword research
    2. increase PA 1 and DA
    3.maintain Spam Score: 0/17
4.need on-page SEO work on your website.
5.need off-page SEO on your website.
    6.need one site optimization.
7.need unique articles on your website.

and much more.page rank is not very important to ranking on the first page.
