More or Less pages workout in SEO & Google?

Hi all,

Just gone through some of the articles that less pages will favor to Google in ranking better and many pages for similar or related keywords may looks like doorway pages. Is that true that less pages workout? Or more pages targeting many keywords? One of our competitors have as many pages for many keywords. Even they have 3 pages with different phrases at page titles targeting to rank for same keyword. Just wondering and curious to know more or less pages will workout and how?

    This is pretty simple stuff. If you can create a page of real value, no matter what the keyword phrase is, create it. DO NOT create a spun version of another page in order to rank for a keyword variation. Google is getting better and better at semantic search, allowing the same page to rank for multiple search terms - especially if that page has been optimized around the variations and related phrases common to the multiple related phrases.

    Less pages or more pages, it does not matter a lot in this. All the pages should have necessary and genuine content and links. The links and the keywords should be kept according to the rules and certain google guidelines should be followed.

    One page websites rank just fine so there's your answer.

    Personally I like SEO silos, makes ranking multiple pages per each keyword easier.
