First of all, thanks to everyone for being so helpful.

Let's have a look into my today's question.

One of my project (up . punjabkesari . in ) is rank on second page of SERP with almost of every keyword.

Could anyone help to find the reason behind bad ranking.

  • Check your competitors link profile. And compare them with yours. I am sure you will find that they have much high rated links to their pages. Now you try to get links from them too or from even better sources.

First you might want to do a thorough keyword research on all your keywords, that data alone will tell you a lot about your position. Next you have to re-evaluate your on-page and off-page SEO tactics. Are you using longtail keyword, if so are you using them correctly? Is your content engaging the visitors? What about your social presence? Above all, is your content SEO ready? Things like backlinks are important yes, but do you post quality content that is valued by your visitors?
  • I think your reason its because your competitors have more better backlinks
  • Get PBNs (private blog network) it will help you rank up higher.
