Moving hosting providers and http to https

Hi

I've recently moved hosting for my old e commerce wordpress site to a dedicated host that specializes in marketing music (my niche) and I've been informed that I will receive penalties because my http and https will now be regarded as different sites and seriously damage my SEO? In google webmaster tools my http image shows my old site and my https shows a screenshot of my new one so this looks like it could be true? I've tested and submitted a sitemap to each.

Any tips greatly appreciated
