Curious about the state of new websites... I.e. Those you published this year...

For such newer websites, how much traffic comes from SEO (vs. social , forums, etc)?

    This is a really dumb question. Some sites are intentionally built with not targeting search engine traffic in mind and vice versa.

    Some people are targeting keywords that will take 12-18 months to rank for. Some are targeting low hanging fruit they can rank for tomorrow.

    So what's the point of the question?

    I build several websites this year and some of it has keywords in page 1 of google.

    Optimizing the onpage/offpage and speed of the website is very essential but would took time and need an expert to do the job.

    this is really hard to answer...

    I had websites and have still some which have decent source of traffic from Youtube, from StumbleUpon...also from Quora!

    search engine is really good and it built my business also, but its better to stick on another sources also...

    you will good sum of traffic from seo. but you have keep thoso backlinks to thoso forums,socil media etc which is linked to your website data. so that your bouse rate will be stable and you will get good traffic.

    Big context: this has a lot to do with how long it takes for SEO to work.

    I'm curious if, for example, a website you published 3 years ago is getting 70% of its traffic from SEO... while a 5-month old website is relying mostly on social.
