  • Add a description meta tag if you don't already have one. This is normally a temporary problem, likely it will fix itself.

It just got indexed. Is this what happens it takes a will for them to list the correct info. I think I filled in everything rite in WP.
  • Your site needs a description tag. Open your site in your web editor and usually under the File tab there is a Properties section where you detail Site name, description and keywords. Save it all and then re-upload that page.

      Hi gottahave

As you can see I'm using WP.
  • The code has a description in it as you are using the All in One SEO plugin and have obviously entered it right. So I would guess this will correct itself. I don't know as I am no expert in this. But if the HTML code has the description code plainly listed, I would think that Google will pick it up. So can't say why it isn't showing up now.

    • Hi Drew,

I believe I have spotted your problem. You have a 302 Temporary redirect from the www. to the non-www. This 302 redirect method will cause Google to drop your snippet and if you don't fix it soon you will get completely de-indexed.

Since you are using Wordpress you need to go into your general settings and set the "WordPress address (URL)" and the "Blog address (URL)" both to:

      Code:
      http://www.healingbackpain.info
After you have done this, make sure that your page loads correctly and you are good to go. Just wait 4 or 5 days and you will see the problem go away. You can go out and get some fresh backlinks to speed the refresh of you page listing.

  • I have posted the solution before, the exact thing happened to me and this is how I corrected it-
Make SURE your WordPress blog's Privacy setting is set to be 'visible to search engines' since it is set to 'not visible' by default. And just add your site to the Google Webmaster Tool and submit a sitemap, it will fix automatically it in a few days.

  • Drew,

Your site has 5 pages indexed, however is still "unranked" by Google. Also, you have all but 2 backlinks. I understand that your site is only 13 days old, but it is good practice to get some nice SEO done and then submit to G with a sitemap.

PS: In the future you may want to comment out your full URL, otherwise the post will rank higher than the site will, which can either be good or bad. In this case, the problem you are having is is ranked higher than your site is.
