You don't need to pay for SEO. There are a few points that you need to keep in mind. And you can learn it easily. Use SEO plugin like yoast. It will help you a lot for On page SEO.

This is a tough question, but the most important aspect is having amazing content that google loves.

Ensure your guide or topic is the absolute best in the industry and you can even further optimize it for TF-IDF relevancy.

    Then get links!

It's simple to say, but hard to do. Hope it goes well.

Can you send me a link to the website? id be happy to take a look and see what might be an issue.

It could just be that google has not crawled your content yet, do a "fetch as" in webmaster tools after a few hours go to google and do site:yourdomain and see if your content has been indexed, if it has been indexed and your not ranking for keywords, then your SEO efforts need to be stepped up.

Checked it, nice site BTW - one thing i need to point out, you may or may not be (depends how google looks at it - over optimising on the phrase "hair removal" i would also revisit the title tag of "home - laser hair removal and permanent" the word home doesn't really need to be in their apart from those couple of things - i see not much wrong, do the fetch as, let google index it, in the meantime maybe build some quality backlinks to the page? does not need to be many just a few quality ones from authority sites.
