So my new job involves working with SEO friendly websites.

I am just wondering if anyone has any tips as to how I would find out how SEO friendly a certain website is?

I know that the likes of BBC, Bloomberg, WSJ, etc are all very good for SEO purposes.

But what other things should I look out for?

    • Basically, I work with a sports site and it is my job to find news websites that accept affiliate links in articles. So i write articles that are relevant to the news site that I am writing for but each of my articles contains an affiliate link to the sports site that I work for.
  • Iain, I'd consider using Google Trends to identify what search terms have been popular recently. Using a popular search term like Kyrie Irving, if relevant, could help your article rank. https://trends.google.com/trends/

    Also, once you've build a new page (new article), fetch it in Google Search Console to boost it's presence.
