Duplicate Content Posted From Blog To Facebook & LinkedIn Negatively Impacting Sites SEO?

Does copying and pasting my fresh original blog posts to Facebook and LinkedIn negatively impact SEO on the blog post where it was initially published?

I have noticed that on Facebook just posting a short description and link back to the original content gains significantly less impressions, when compared to pasting in all the original text and uploading the images with no link.

Facebook seems to be de-prioritising posts that contain links that drive traffic away from Facebook, when compared to lengthy content with no links.

When I paste my blog posts into Facebook I gain many more impressions, greater exposure and engagement, but will this negatively impact the SEO of the content on my Blog, as it is seen as duplicate content?

Does anybody have any workarounds or hacks to get the best of both worlds?

I look forward to your comments below.

Chris

Where do you people come up with these questions?

Why do people put share buttons on their pages? To harm them?

Yeah. FB wants every webmaster to suffer the consequences of sharing things on it. So they make it easy to share, and ask people to do it.

They are trying to take over the internet by taking you (and everyone else) down.

But surely there is a difference between somebody clicking a share button on a site, which will effectively share a link back to the site along with the meta-data, as compared to the owner of the content pasting word for word the text content (that google crawls) on to a Facebook page (effectively another possible original source of the content).

Don't copy the whole article. Make a relevant comment that includes your keywords, and a link to your post.

Thanks dee4d, this looks like the way to go if pasting the entire article is penalised.
