After 301 Redirect, My Page Disappeared from SERPs

I recently restructured my site, and moved several of my pages using 301 redirect.

However, one of my pages, the one that had the best backlink to it, has completely vanished from the SERPs. I can't even find it if I put in my site:mydomain.com followed by a keyword. It's just gone.

Is this normal? For most of the other pages, they are now indexed twice. For this one, it is just gone. I did the 301s a couple of weeks ago.

I've also faced this same issues. Don't worry. It will take more time to index your new page. Once the new pages are crawled, definitely all your old page backlinks will be transferred to a new page.

Did you submit your new page URL sitemaps in webmaster tools?

Okay, that's helpful (and hopeful). Thanks. I'm assuming Google just found that my page wasn't there but for some reason hasn't indexed the new page (despite the 301). I was a little worried there that Google had decided my redirects were "fishy" and deindexed me.

No, I haven't submitted the sitemap. I'm with Squarespace for this website. I'll look into how that would work.

You can also just submit just that page via Search Console and you can also link to it from Google+, which causes URLs to get indexed almost immediately.

Thanks. I actually figured out how to add my Squarespace site to Webmaster Tools, so I submitted it from there. We'll see how it goes.

And the old version of my page is now back up in the index. Weird. In any event, it sounds like it will sort itself out.

The first thing you need to do is a site: search for both the original URL and the new URL. Search for the exact URL (ex: site:domain.com/internal-page-here) not all the pages on the domain.

Are either one of the pages indexed?

In order to see your web pages rank in SERP, you have to do SEO again for the website. Google Usually doesn't show such website in their SERP, which implements 301 and 302 at least for 1 or 2 months due to various reasons.
