Ranking Low Competition Keywords

So I have written a good amount of articles (Difficulty 10-30 on SEOmoz) based around some targeted long tail keyword. I have shared these articles on some social bookmarking sites including the usual facebook, google +, Pinterest, twitter, etc..

I also believe I have performed adequate on-page SEO.

My question is what other options are the most effective ways to rank these low competition long tail keywords fast? I've tried on a few posts buying around 50 social bookmarks and link building gigs and I think the completely trashed any ranking that I had for that post... BTW my page and domain rank is 1.

Is the solution mass blog commenting? guest posts? broken link building? Wikipedia links?

Also what sites are the best for dropping links on for good do-follow links?

Thanks in advance I truly appreciate your responses!

Since your domain looks pretty new here's what I would do.
Get a press release, Do some comments on blogs related to me(No spam), Guest posts, Would find some long tails around those low competition keywords and use them as supporting article so that I can have a silo and proper internal linking.

And after this you will surely find yourself ranking good. Better not to go for Fiverr or to cheap sellers else you will end up making your website worse.

Do not even try attempting blog commenting on a mass scale as that will not yield you any output in terms of traffic. Your focus should be more on creating good long form content talking about 1k+ words atleast. Also, you should probably have a proper on-page strategy in place as I have seen many sites rank on serps through on-page alone. It's high time you start attracting links instead of gaining them.

If you can place the link yourself, 99% of the time it is a crappy link. There are a ton of methods to get legitimate backlinks. Follow Brian Dean's Backlinko Blog for some of the best ways - https://backlinko.com/blog.

Oh, and remove or disavow the crappy links that were already built.

There are a number of services available including some on the Warrior Forum who will place your article as a guest post on a high PA or DA website. Also, you might try boosting the best posts on your Facebook page so as to generate more traffic to your Facebook page which may lead to more traffic on your website. But make sure that your FB page has a Learn More or Shop Now tab that links to your website.

I agree with most of the things what others said in this post. Always careful when you are trying to send some thing through blogs. RSS submission is a good way to get you backlinks.

If you are going to outsource the SEO (or even do it yourself) you might just check out reviews given by WF members of other members' SEO services to see what actually works.

You said gigs so I'm assuming you've got something off fiverr? Remove those links in webmaster tools or it'll tank your site. If you must get black hat links build your own expired web 2.0 network or pbn. If your site is quality mix that with real guest posting.
