There is no difference at all. This is one of the many myths Rand Fishkin discussed a couple weeks ago in a Whiteboard Friday - https://moz.com/blog/10-things-do-not-affect-rankings

Of course, if you buy an aged domain that already has good backlinks that are relevant to your website, that's a whole different ballgame!

I agree with you. There is practically no difference if they don't have some juicy links.

Aged domain with good number of Referencing Domains (RDs) will matter that too in your niche. Without RDs, New or Aged Domains are at same level.

The old domain is more beneficial for you. Because that domain already had good backlinks and DA PA also good for that domain. So go for it

I am doing site administration for two sites, one for longtime domain names and one for new domains. Personally, I find that the perennial domain is always in favor. That's for sure!

I mostly prefer old domain rather than creating a new one. I think it would be better for you to buy a old domain.

if the old domain is relevant to your business than you can buy it because backlinks will help you else go for the new domain.

Buying old domain is the good SEO practices. Because old domains are already having some good number of authority and backlinks which would help to add more values to the SEO practices. But do analysis before purchase the domain such as domain age, ip address, backlinks, domain authority.
