Hello All,

I am new here and was hoping someone could help me out with some questions I have regarding local SEO. I am working at building targeted traffic for two websites that offer services to a local area. My questions for you are:

1. How do you find the best backlinks for a local site so that it will rank well locally?
2. What is the best method for building a good amount of targeted traffic for a local site?
3. What strategies have you found to work best for local SEO overall?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Use social networking sites to drive traffic to your site ( you can use these sites' blogs to dominate in SERPs for your keywords), include the name of the area where you operate your business in your keywords.

    • Thank you for your reply! I have just started looking into social networking sites and how to use them for this. I have set-up accounts with 6 different sites and I have submitted some of my blog posts to these. One thing I hadn't thought of though was using the location as part of my keywords, which would make sense. I will definitely use that next post.
