I said the same thing in my original post, Paul, which was removed by the moderator because (heaven forbid) I actually linked to an article that answered the question. For some reason, you are allowed to link to articles on other websites but if you have the perfect answer and it is on your own website, it is not allowed here (as if there is some sort of SEO benefit derived from linking to an article from Warrior Forum).

It has nothing to do with the SEO benefit. This place would go nuts with people dropping links to their sites if it was allowed. On a forum of this side, trying to have all the moderators play judge and jury over which links lead to a good useful article and which don't would be a huge waste of their time and start a lot of pissing matches.

It is easier to just not allow it.

Yeah, it might take one whole minute to skim something to see if it is pertinent. Assuming the worst but allowing links to absolute drivel because there is no vested interest (as if linking to a blog article has some sort of monetary component or that one couldn't easily link to something else they controlled if they wanted to) is certainly an easier route to go. The easiest way is seldom a great recipe for creating the best of anything.

The main reason most of the people on this forum are failing in their efforts to produce income is that they try to do things the easiest way.

You understand that most of the moderators are not SEOs, right? So they have no idea if your content is good or completely misleading garbage. You cannot ask the moderators to all be experts on the full range of topics covered on the forum.

If you are just trying to help, then post your relevant article in the thread instead of linking to it. It will probably be allowed to stay.

The other thing that will end up happening if those kind of links were allowed is everyone would drop those as answers to threads. It would cut down on the actual discussions that happen here. That would be good for us dropping links and getting traffic from them, but bad for the forum.

Seriously? It is more than 6,000 words long. That is a better solution than just linking to it?

They have no problem with the misleading nonsensical garbage that is spewed here in bite sized chunks more often than not but have a problem with linking to an extremely comprehensive article that actually can answer the question that was asked?

What is the point of being a moderator of a forum thread if you do not have some degree of knowledge about the thread you are supposed to be moderating? So yes, I can and do expect the moderator of a forum thread to have at least enough knowledge about the thread they have been assigned to tell if something that is linked to answers a question or not. Under that assumption, the moderator doesn't care if I link to something that sells vases (as long as it is not my site) instead of linking to something that answers the question.

And, you seriously think a forum thread is the best place to cover all of the many things that are involved in on-page SEO? That the lively debate will actually foster some sort of personal growth or knowledge? It would, if people then started discussing the aspects of the linked-to article but, alas, that cannot possibly happen in this scenario. Look at the other responses, above, and you can see that the thread clearly is not even close to providing solid, actionable, intelligent knowledge.

Anyway, I get it. You should have stopped at "it's too much work". That pretty much sums it up.

On page SEO optimization is a crucial step which most of us tend to forget. Proper On page SEO helps a site crawl up the rankings in no time. Here are tricks,

    1. SEO friendly URL - Try to make your website's name relevant to its service. For instance, if you are selling cakes in London, then your websnite name can be like "bestcakeshoplondon.com" or "buycakeslondon.com".

    2. Keywords - Ensure that each page content of yours has the keywords relating to your business or service.

    3. Meta Title and Description - Meta Title defines a page and must have your website's primary keyword. The same goes for meta description.

    4. Interlinks - Interlinking your web pages with one another makes a user stay longer on your site thereby reducing bounce rate.

    5. Optimized images - Images on your website should be optimized so as to reduce the overall site load time. Web scrollers do not prefer to wait for a site to open.

These are some of the techniques which have proved to be useful to me. If there are more, feel free to reply me.

    I hope this helps.

You already have lots of stuffs and also very much familiar with the current scenario and on-page techniques. If you know Neal Patel, then you can't claim that you don't know how to do on-page SEO, if still you said that then definitely you are not for the SEO field, better to change your field.

Onpage optimization (AKA on-page SEO) refers to all measures that can be taken directly within the website in order to improve its position in the search rankings. Examples of this include measures to optimize the content or improve the meta description and title tags. Conversely, off-page SEO refers to links and other signals.

The on-page optimization is build up for taking the website directly to the page and thus to increase the ranking order of our website. These factors can be easily controlled by us or by coding for the same website page.
