Static site plus blog on root subfolder - separate site maps or not?

Our main static HTML site www.example.com and dynamic WP blog on blog.example.com are two different properties in Webmaster tools with separated site maps.
Now, we have migrated and 301 blog.example.com to www.example.com/blog, added new property in Webmaster Tools console and submitted site map.
Should we have one site map for static www.example.comn and WP www.example.com/blog or keep them separated?
