Link builders & Blog commentators would you be interested in this?

I've seen people mention lately that finding internal blog pages that have page rank can be difficult. Well, I have a list of a few thousand blogs that are PR 3-7 (most are 4,5,6) and for each of those I have a list of all of the pages on the blog that have page rank. This is a list that I've put together myself from scratch so I can guarantee it's not a copy of someone else's list.

Anyway, I need to raise some money for a project and I was thinking of cutting the list up into groups of 50-100 links per batch and then selling them to a limited number of people each month. Maybe 20-50 copies only. This is so the blogs don't just get hammered and turn off like what is happening with some of the other backlink packages.

I'd say most of the blogs are no-follow but there's a good amount of do-follow on the list. Most of the internal pages range from PR2-4 with a few 6 and lots of 0 and 1.

The list would be delivered with the following info:

Blog subject
PR for blog main page
PR for individual page
Do/No follow status
Whether the blog is moderated or not (if I can tell)

So anyway, before I start putting these packages together I'm wondering if people would even be interested and, if so, what do you think a fair price is (bearing in mind that not many people will get it).

If you think this is a crap idea I'd appreciate knowing that too.

Thanks for any feedback.

  • Just being brutally honest: Personally, I wouldn't pay for it. I can find and comment on ten blogs related to mine in about 20 minutes. That means for 20 minutes a day of work, I can get 50 of those kinds of links a week for free.

That doesn't mean it's not a good idea, but for me it wouldn't make a lot of sense since most of the work is in making comments that get accepted and clicked, not finding the blogs.

Depends upon if you are going to also take the time to post to related blogs .... Some people just do not have the time to do many post on blogs, so keep that in mind..

It depends on the price. If you have a really low price then maybe a lot of people will throw out a couple of bucks to try it.

You just have to find your price equilibrium

Yes, price is always a concern and I'm hoping to get some feedback on that. But I don't want it to go to a lot of people. If too many people start using the same blogs/links then they get trashed so it's kind of pointless. You just have to look at the forums that are closing to new memberships because of the other link packages to see that. I've heard several people comment on some of the other packages that they'd be willing to pay more for them if fewer people received the package.

@ surviveunemployment - no worries, I know this isn't something everyone would be interested in. It's mostly a time saver for people I think

@ avenuegirl - that's a good point. Maybe niche packages would be a better idea.

@ richjerk - I'm not sure what you mean... Are you asking if I'd be doing the blog commenting for them? I hadn't planned on it. I was just going to provide the list (like Angela or Paul or the others). I could offer the commenting itself as an additional service but it would probably be more cost effective to hire someone else for that. If you're asking whether I comment on the blogs too the answer is yes, some of them.

Well, you can sell almost anything here on warrior forums...

Anyways, if you could pull up a list of some high PR blog lists that are not moderated I'm sure that a lot of people would buy it. (I'm assuming that non-moderated means instant-add comments that aren't checked by anyone?)

High PR and "aren't checked by anyone" generally not compatible.
Google neither give any PR nor ranks spammy (....great post, now visit my site here...) pages.

I will also choose to be away from it if it is paid. I don't think it is worth it as I will not be purchasing it from a company and some of the blogs may be from other resources which are available on the internet. I would prefer searching blogs on my own

Well, if you launch WSO in red letters, bold font, cross $997 and make it $9.95 for "limited time only" - I could see sucker market potential in it.

90% of backlinks offerings on WSO are spiced up but worthless ideas about spamming forum profiles and signatures with backlinks.
So I can see value in your list.

I wouldn't say "worthless" those backlink packets took my site from no man's land to page one with 32,000,000 competing pages.

One of the best bang for buck investments I've ever made as far as SEO goes.

depending on the niche it could be useful. alot of times I would rather pay to get info like this rather than spend my time doing it. have lots of other things that I could be doing.

I agree with SurviveUnemployment, as you can get the High PR sites using Google Alerts, why pay for them.

But as someone said above, there are always those who are willing to pay at least something for things like this.

So why not give it a try and see how it goes.

    Good Luck,
    Ed

Pay an outsourcer to sift out the nofollows so you have a bunch of dofollows. Then have them leave good comments and see if they're approved and still in place a week later. That will cull your list down even more. Shouldn't cost you a lot to do this if you outsource to somebody cheap on CL or the Philippines. What you're left with would be pure gold. I'd pay decent money for such a tight list.

My point was if you offered a service to do post to related blogs it may be of interest to some... Just an idea, but would require some hard work being done manually..

As making comments and putting 'profile' pages on blogs is concerned - I feel that search engines like Google don't place to high a value on them as they would a 450 word article on relevant sites and blogs in your niche. If it gives a boost in Google it may be very short lived - just like a news item on Google News or somewhere like that. Old news is dead news in a very quick time.

The OP is talking about putting your link on a page that has high page rank, not on a pr0 profile page. A handful of these links can get the same resulys as hundreds of profile links, aslong as it doesn't get spammed out too much.

To the OP - the more links on the page the less value it has so im not sure how easy this list would be to sell as I am sure people will be worried about it getting spammed out.
