Hello All,

I just want to know can i add slash at the end of the URL? Make just like as http://www.index.com/root/. How we can make good seo friendly url's ? Let me know rules and regulations.

    If you have a wordpress site you can use the pretty links plugin. You enter the destination URL and you can add any word or words you would like at the end of the URL. But you need a wordpress site for this to work.

    If I am not mistaken, you can do this fairly easily using the permalink settings of Wordpress if you're using WP as your publishing platform/CMS

    SEO-friendly URLs are a thing of the past. Just keep it short and catchy and/or short and descriptive.

    The longtail URL can still be descriptive (using the title usually). It may help a little SEO-wise.

    Google looks at content and other factors more these days. It was too easy to game the system so they changed the algorithm.

    The forward slash at the end is automatically added anyway. It doesn't matter.
    Unless you have other content in a folder, or it is a separate page at the root, you don't need to enter the forward slash.
