People always recommend link building, but it can be troublesome to reach out to other websites yourself especially if you're a busy bloke. It's a type of job I'd outsource to a VA. Guest posting also works too, as well as commenting (just make sure you don't sound like a robot) and signing up on directories. You can also share your content on social media if you've gained a good presence there.
