[HELP] my website position on google.

Hello warriors, Hope you all having an amazing day.

I m monitoring keywords from Google Search Console. i noticed my position on most of the keyword is decreasing!

I wanted to ask, how i can rank higher on those keywords?

    There are plenty of factors that depend on your keyword's rankings. Is your competitors doing well than you while building links? Or, your content is outdated? Or, even worse you are effected by the any search engine algo change or even a penalty? !! So, first check all these and also check in your search console that whether or not you are hit by any manual action penalty.

    Hello expmrb, Thank you for your response.

    I dont know how I m doing tbh, I post one article a week! I do some keyword research and focus on low competition long tail keywords before I write article - overall the site is new i started one month ago. not much of visitors, low social presence..etc

    But I saw on Google Search Console a fall back or degradation of a position on most of the keyword.

    In this case what one should do? I write more similar article for that specific keywords? I should increase more traffic to site from social media? ...

    one other question: in a long run. If one wanted to rank for a specific keyword what are the main or important steps should be considered?

    Posting content, promoting them in social media, targeting specific keywords all of these are just fine but they are not enough.

    Check what kind of link profile do you have and what kind of link building techniques are you using? Compare them to your competitors. I am sure you will find out what you are lacking.

    you can use different methods of gaining backlinks like:
    1. Article posting
    2. sharing documents such as PPT, PDF
    3. sharing info on Web 2.0 sites
    4. Video submission
    5. Forum submissions
