How much guest post are you posting per week?

I'm in process of link building via guest posts. And it seems not so fast process, but when I see top bloggers, I see 10x posts per month on top-tier websites like Entrepreneur, Forbes, etc.. ?

I have two questions (will be appreciated for answer on each of them):
1) How is it possible - how to make guest posting like top bloggers?
2) How are you doing this (link building through guest posting), how many guest posts are you posting per week/month?

I would focus on building friendships over links. Only because, befriending humans leads to so many opportunities and trying to manipulate inanimate objects....not so much.

1: Spend the next 2-3 years of your life promoting *other* bloggers. Help THEM out, and they will befriend you, as you improve your writing skills, and will invite you to guest post on their blogs.

2: I write 2-5 or more guest posts daily. I submit to top blogging tips blogs, but only because I promoted guys like Zac Johnson and Matthew Loomis and Ileane Smith for months, building bonds, and I also practiced my writing for a long time.

Guest posting rocks, but set a time frame of months, then years, to land spots on top blogs. There is a reason why it ain't easy; few people persistently polish their skills through practice, and help other bloggers without asking for anything in return. But it's what you gotta do to move up in blogging circles.

PS....I have not published guest posts on Entrepreneur and Forbes, but have been featured on each site. Again, a healthy amount of networking, promoting other bloggers, and persistence in creating helpful content opened the doors to where I popped up on the radar of their contributors.

      Exactly correct.

It needs patience and time to get there.
