hey guys.

i have 3 websites of the same niche, i discovered that they are getting more traffic or less at the same time. I mean that the trend of visitors is mainly the same for all sites. They get higher or lower at same time. During months the same thing is happening and i could not get an answer of what is going on. Any idea?

There are a lot of variables. Without looking at your site I think it would be inaccurate for anyone to say what is happening.

The only thing I can think of is that you are ranking all 3 sites very close to each other in the search engines. Have you checked where they rank in the SE's?

i did not start the three at the same time, the ranking differ between them all. and even the posts are different, i am also not using the same way of posting. but i am using the same webmaster tools gmail for all of them.

If you run three in same niche, split test on SEO for each one,

So one can rank for search phrases, like 5 main search phrases, second site , to rank for different search phrases, and third site , to rank for different, searches, also all marketing should not be the same for each site, Then you will see what works and then scale up, on the one site that works.

You only build there sites to test and choose the one that makes the money, then stick to that one site, or you will not be able to do the work needed for all sites.
    Thanks Rob.

Whenever two niches overlap, competition ensues between organisms.

i just thought google is tracking my IP adress and knows that they have the same owner, but i am not creating duplicate content. it is been few months now and the same thing is happening, when a site is down i know automatically that the other two sites are also down and vice versa

Usually, the simplest answer is the right one.

Search volume can vary. If they are all dipping and increasing at the same time, that likely means that the search volume in that niche is changing. Search volume is not going to be exactly the same month after month.
