Value of Guest Posts with High DA BUT PA of 1

Hi -

I am looking at various options for guest posts to generate backlinks to my site - .

I am interested to know, if I get a post on a site with a DA of say 50, lots of backlinks and generally decent traffic, BUT the post I backlink from ends up far from the home page and gets very little traffic, and remains on PA1, then does that link have any value? Or am I wasting my time?

Thanks,

DA (Domain Authority) is a 3rd party measurement from MOZ and has very little to do with how well it ranks on Google. Google has even stated that they don't measure a domain's authority.

If you plan on selling links or the website, then other people may care.

You're not wasting your time, probably. The important part is that any backlinks you do get should be related to your niche.

It has value, do not worry. Build more authority links and use natural keywords, do not focus on your keywords.
It takes lot of time for Google estimate and rearrange your SEO ranking. The backlinks you build today will be reward in next 2 months.

You should always consider Referring Domains Value of a website you are getting links from.

First of all, you are wasting time by confusing between DA and PA. Guest Posting is a great way to drive traffic, provided that how active the site is, the number of active members on the site, the approval duration of your post and so on. PA does not matter these days.

Not too much, you need to increase your PA.

Any domain with high DA has a value whether you get links from inner page. But, If your post reside in homepage you will get better link juice.

These questions have been answered thousands of times before, why don't you use the search function?

      Surely you can understand this:
      a. if they've been answered thousands of times, the world will not implode if it happens one more time

      b. searching for answers sounds like work, work is for sissies not billionaires.

      c. asking one more time is taking action, man! The OP could've just kept watching TV or could've surfed the web (the winter Olympics are on, there's ton of porn waiting to be watched, Gray's Anatomy rerruns, mah-jong games, singing contests, cats liking themselves...)
