How to choose keywords for Adsense?

Hi there.

I tried some Adsense on my website, just to see how much money can I make from it. The site has about 25-30 visitors/day , so I put a single article and some adsense ads on it.

First day I got $0,74 , and the second day it was $1,74 from 25 clicks. That means a very low $0,04 /click.

How can I find keywords with high CPC?

I was thinking to use the free keyword tool, and do some research until I find some high CPC keywords, an then just use the first 3 or 4 keywords (the ones with the highest CPC) write an article optimized for those keywords and put it online.

Is this the right way?

and one more thing..if i send traffic to my adsense sites via Google Content network, I'm not violating any google TOS, right?

Waiting some advice, tips.. thanks

just because a keyword pays a lot doesn't mean people actually search for it or click on it. it's not just about finding high paying words. You have to find ones that have a good amount of search traffic. check out the xfactor adsense class if you want to get into adsense site building.

You are on the right lines but you have to wary that the CPC figures are not always entirely accurate. Plus there are many other factors which determine how much your site earns per click and one of them is whether people clicking on your ads actually end up as leads for the advertizer.

As for choosing keywords, I would judge a good keyword by search volume, number of advertizers and also the CPC. As for competition, just take a look at the top ten on google for that keyword and see who they are, what their SEO is like and then gauge whether you can take them on.

Optimize for targeted traffic - don't worry about how much you get if someone clicks on an ad.
