How to organize business - SEO

Hi!

First idea: Provide a service for startups with relevant framework and processes: 1:1 coaching/mentoring, sales training and more. Secondly, I will help my clients with websites, logos and business cards. All on one website. Should I use a subdomain for web development/design?

I would like to offer a second door (niche), also specialized coaching, but different from my first niche. Like a second set of services, still on the same webpage.

How would you organize this?
How many websites?

Thoughts?

I will say that put them in sub-directory such as xyz.com/webdevelopment or xyz.com/tutorials.

You can always go for sub-domains but they will require SEO of their own so think about it.

I kinda got lost with this challenge.

Let's say I want something like this:

    hectorsite.com (main site, main service)
    +
    /design
    /consulting
    /courses

I would of course use Keywords/Keyword Phrases for this purpose.

But I'm stuck on a few challenges. How would you set up this when it comes to design? I mean these will be different pages and niches. What about logo, one main logo for all sites? The same design profile?

Any examples of this out there that can inspire/help me?

It's no different than how web hosting offers multiple packages on the same webpage. I assume it's all relevant.

It all starts with the competition. You need to assess the level of competition and the market share to see how you stand a chance to compete in a given market. Therefore, it is essential not to jump the gun with strategies before fully understanding your market.

Well in my opinion for a better kick-start you should hire a consultant and bury them with all your burden. It costs but its effective.

If you want assistance with Logo designing or other graphical designing you can find me here.

To set up a new business is very difficult and if you want to start it properly, you need to do the things step by step:
    1. Marketing
    2. Find out the competitor
    3. Keyword analysing
    4. Start making website
    5. Content marketing
After these steps you need to proceed.

I believe it really depends on how different that second door is from the first idea.

People make a decision about what your business is all about even before they go to your website. Those first impressions work the same way online as they do face to face. Browsing around would get them confused about what it is you are an expert in. Because of this, I would have one website per idea if they are significantly different.

From an SEO standpoint, I would stay away from subdomains if you have the possibility to do so. Although having two inner pages that focus on different topics (one with website dev, logos, etc. and another one about the mindset to success) won't hurt your rankings, there is a noticeable transfer of website trust between the home page and inner pages. You should see significantly better results with subfolders/inner pages.

Good luck and enjoy the process.
