Is article submission to article directory still effective for seo ?

In the past, I have seen many people submitted article in article directory for link building. Is this method still effective for seo? Many people are saying against it and some are saying in favour of it. I am not sure what to do. I am expecting expert opinions.

    Maybe there's some value to submitting a quality article to Medium. If it's good, you will get some traffic. But it's just not worth the time at all. And most of the other article directories out there look like webspam from the 1990's.

    Quality business directories are about the only manual link-building I bother with anymore. Everything else is outreach.

    Article directory have been out now for a long time, now you should go with stealth PBN's do your research and make sure to have multiple hosting accounts and to not point to many links back from each site, recommend to not have more then 5 sites per hosting pointing back to your money sites and have 5+ other sites on the hosting accounts that point to totally different moneys sites. Host on servers that you can buy dedicated IP's for each site etc..

    Yes, you are right about an article submission. article directories provide low quality backlinks and also you will not get queries from them.

    According to me, you should concern on high quality article submission sites for submission. they will provide some traffic for your business.

    Try to focus on blogs and guest posting.

    I believe it's best to put your articles on your own blog and have it noticed. But if you wanna push through, I suggest you submit two to three high-quality articles to only high-DA article submission sites. The main point here is be wary of any services.

    Complete waste of time. You can spend $5 on Fiverr and get higher quality links.

    If you plan to use content marketing, focus on blogging, guest blogging and sharing all over social media.

    I did a little experiment I stopped posting links and articles to DIY websites, directories manually.

    I instead promoted them to my social media where people shared my articles naturally to obtain links.

    I get more traffic and impressions now to my site because of that.

    It looks more spammy if you submit to directories to get links yourself.

    I would stick to the well known sites for articles submission like huff post, Forbes, inc and other niche websites.

    Look for high DA sites to write for. 1 link to a reputable site is a worth 1000s of low quality ones.

    The takeaway I found is article promotion. Never stop promoting your articles there will always be someone looking for an article to link to for a resource.

    Article submission helps to drive good traffic to your website and we can get somewhere nice but your website online market. But in fact article submission is one of the old technique and it is considered as the spam in SEO world. Google also not considering it as a ranking factor to give you best rank in search engine results. So my advice for you is to not spend much time on article writing go for advanced techniques and then see the better result and place articles on your own website which will be good for your business.

    I think that Articles submission can still provide you pretty good exposure but there are couple of things you should keep in mind while doing article submission in these days.

    1. Always use unique content for each article submision (Don't post the exact same article in more than one article directory)
    2. Only Submit your articles on popular article directories that are be working for few years. Article directories like ezinearticles.com , sooperarticles.com , articlesfactory.com , abcarticledirectory.com , streetarticles and more....

    Forget submission to article directories.

    In the past you could get traffic if you optimised the article for a specific keyword.

    Sites like ezine articles had authority your article would pop up on the first page of the serps.

    But you still had to write a good article so people would click on the link in your bio.

    Article directories have no authority anymore.

    If you are going to make the effort to write a decent article, look for guest posting opportunities.

    I used to submit my articles to EzineArticles and iSnare. I don't know what happened to iSnare in the end, I think it is malfunctioning. However, it used to be an effective method, but judging from the click-through traffic nowadays, I doubt it works that well anymore. I get thousands of visitors per month to my blog, and that's whether or not I post regularly. And it doesn't come from the ANY of the directories.
