Help! Searching for keywords

Hi Guys,

I see a lot of you can earn daily money with adsense I have seen Xfactors guide and have followed Stephen Crooks 100 bucks challenge but I am still confused about how you come with keywords with high percentage of searches (1,000+) good CPC and low competition

I have been working for the last 3 months looking for keywords with low competition i.e. below 30,000 that pays $1.00 on average but cannot find anything.

I cant afford Micro Niche Finder so only use google keyword tool and have subscribed to Angelas backlinks.

I host my sites at home because of the access I can maintain.

I am currently earning per month about £5 with adsense - this is by learning from Stephen's blog but could not copy his success with my site.

I dont know where I am failing at the moment but I feel I need to build a site that can earn around 0.50p - £1.00 per day and then go from there in implementing more sites like John.

So I think i need help in picking well finding keywords that have low competition how do you guys get ideas?

I know John goes around stores noting ideas down but everything i search for has to much competition so I must not be searching the right stuff!
