Hello,

We're looking to improve our SEO. We have a wordpress website and have Yoast premium.

However, Yoast isn't a complete SEO tool and we are in the market for another tool to help boost our organic profile.

We are aware of softwares such as Moz and SEM rush. Are there any other tools anyone recommends?

In addition to above, Just by installing some plugins on Wordpress, that will not help attracting Organic Traffic on your website. You must explore creating backlinks to your website as well.

    Hi Ethan,

In addition to scanning and choosing some rocking tools shared through the thread, embrace this idea: the #1 tool for SEO is good old fashioned, rocking content. Publish helpful posts to blogs and also guest posts to respected blogs in your niche of choice to get the most pop.

I use few tools and pay little attention to SEO these days - did a bit, a few years ago - but simple guest posting has done wonders for my SEO game.

Just something to keep in mind.

    Ryan

PS...Yoast is still pretty tight. Using the free version and writing in-depth posts, I reached page 1 position 3 of Google 2 years ago for "how to submit a guest post" and "how to reach page 1 of Google for a competitive keyword". Yoast definitely nudged me in that direction.

As others have said, Ahref and SEM Rush etc., can take you far, however, by the tone of your questions, it looks like you're looking for a "tool" to increase your organic search rankings automatically.

    It doesn't work like that.

I suggest you build a solid backlink profile, first. Use tools such as Ahref and SEM rush to check which sites are worth getting backlinks on and then offer guest posts to those sites. Make a list of your competitors then investigate their backlinks using these tools - see which sites are helping them rank higher than you and try and replicate their success.

Ultimate, there is no "tool" but a series of tools that you use by implementing a comprehensive link building strategy.

    Good luck

That's more than sufficient. The most important "tools" in SEO are:

    1. Having a thorough understanding of what it is from a technical perspective, on-page perspective, off-page perspective, and philosophical perspective (which most people don't).
    2. Common Sense (again, most people don't)

I have experience with Bright Edge, SEM Rush, and Moz but to be perfectly honest I haven't been impressed by any of these tools. No software can beat human intelligence...that shit won't happen for a good long while yet.

I think you'll need to focus on these tools/plugins whatever you say-

Use SEMrush to gather analytics and insights of your website.
Use Google Keyword Planner to find keywords with high search volume, high advertiser interest, and more importantly keywords where you can easily outrank all other sites.
Use keywordtool(dot)io to simply generate keyword ideas by typing in a keyword.
Use Open Site Explorer by Moz to check data of any domain name.
Use OutreachPlus to grow authority and bring traffic for your website.
Use Broken Link Checker to find and eliminate all broken link issues from website.

Bonus Tips for Wordpress Site Owners-
Site speed is one of the many important factors in search rankings so make sure your WordPress site loads fast. SEOquake, GTMetrix, Ubersuggest are also some of useful tools in trending.

    Best tool?

It actually depends on what you are trying to achieve from a tool. My choices for:

    1) Backlinks => Majestic SEO (The recently launched link tool from Moz is good too. Their Link index has improved a lot.

    2) Keywords => SEMrush

As an agency, if you are looking for an SEO tools that:

=> helps you manage your clients ==> Monitor and manage all of your client data in one simple interface.
=> allows your to build custom SEO dashboards
=> allows you to provide white-label Clients dashboard ==> Provide on-demand a to your clients
=> allows you to create granular permission settings ==> Create staff accounts and assign employees to specific campaigns. Give staff the tools they need to succeed, while restricting access to sensitive data

Let me know. We are releasing (early access is open) our Agency Plan soon to make life a lot easier for agencies.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here.

There's no any all-in-one SEO tool which is the best. You need to combine and use many tools each other for each stage in SEO processes. Each tool will help you with its main function for the work. Example, when you need to do keyword research you use a keyword research tool like kwfinder, keywordio,...Or if you want to analyze the site's backlinks then some tools such as Moz, Ahrefs will give you the good results. • Hi there.

I will never believe that Yoast is a plugin which improves your seo as nowadays I am looking to replace Yoast with some coding skills.

Moz and Semrush are amazing tools from where you can do a lot of research work but I would suggest looking for Keyword research tools. Like KWFinder or even get a good grasp on Goole Adword tool for KY research.

Plus don't ignore Google webmaster or it will haunt you in future for sure.

And also work on site speed, website security (check wordfence WP plugin) and redirects like making 404 page redirecting to a home page.

Google Webmasters - understanding impressions and conversion rate off of a search engine results page is as important as ranking well.
Authority Labs - tracking the keywords you're ranking on every day will provide you with the data you need to make the necessary adjustments as well as see how long the search engines take to react to changes.
SEMRush - understanding what you rank on versus what you'd like to rank on is important. SEMRush is a gold mine with a large blog - identifying posts that rank well and can be tweaked to rank better. As well as providing insight into your competition.
SEOmoz Pro - the pro toolset of SEOmoz is, bar none, the greatest tool I've seen on the market. The report card is priceless.
Webtrends - a great analytics tool is essential so you can measure what is working versus what isn't. Everyone uses Google because most people don't understand what to actually measure and how to develop a return on investment with their analysis.
