I have lots of content on my blog. Each and every blog get higher rankings on Google organic searches on respective keywords. But, how to index a blog in Google News section?

    Well, definitely you would want to jump into news if you have something relevant to it. But here's a tip, you can start by implementing Schema tags onto your website. This will help crawlers understand the type of content your website posts.

    Rest the Quick Start guide to getting into google news will be very very helpful.

    If you are asking about the blog attached to the site in your signature. Forget about it. it is not close to meeting the criteria for inclusion in Google News.

    Read all the technical guidelines of Google's general, and make sure you meet the requirements. If you decide to skip this step and just submit your website for inclusion, the chances are you will be denied. And if you don't make the cut the first time around, while you may not have to wait a year like you would to try out for the varsity team, you will have to wait 60 days.

    There are four steps which google follows to index in the google news.
    1. Add your URL : Submit your website for inclusion in Google's index.
    2. App crawling : Get your app indexed by Google
    3. Search Console :Submit a Sitemap of your website to Google.
    4. Structured data :Label your structured content to help users find pages relevant to their search
    5. For More Details Visit Us support.google.com

      Given that the site in question does not come close to being eligible for Google News, how does that advice help? ... or you just spamming to link drop your site?

    To apply for inclusion within the Google News Publisher Center!
    To apply for inclusion, follow the steps below:

    Go to the Google News Publisher Center.
    Verify ownership of your news site in Search Console.
    Click Request inclusion in Google News.
    Enter your site's details including news section URLs and labels, and click Submit.
    Come back to check your site's inclusion status in 1-3 weeks.

    If your blog is already indexed in Google, then you don´t need to worry about that. It will be found over time. Just make sure you have made a Google webmaster tools account for your blog. More information here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/

    Some answers are just to well written with good references, but the best way is to post regularly related to the current affairs in your field. Write articles within few hours of the event. Post around 3-4 articles a day. Also, Install timestamp plugin to add a timestamp to your news article, this helps Google in ranking news section.

    All this is required along with good SEO that works for you.

    Getting indexed on google news is a bit tricky but not impossible. just by doing a little bit changes on your site and following guideline you can submit your site/blog.visit google publisher center for submitting.
