    Hi Venkatesh,

I've ranked for highly competitive keywords using the exact keyword and a relevant deal in title and meta's.

I'd focus more on creating in-depth, valuable content on your blog and guest posting on top blogs in your niche, by building bonds with top bloggers, through helping them out.

My high ranking pages were in-depth posts, and if you factor in my thousands of guest posts floating around out there, most SEO juice flows through the creating of helpful content on authority sites from within your niche.

The nuts and bolts of meta, header and keywords usage has its place but seems to be a small smart of the overall picture buddy, SEO-wise.

Well exact keywords are a good thing if you can rank for them. If you can't outrank your competitors then just use relevant or related or alternative keywords.

Actually, putting keywords in the meta description do nothing to help with ranking. They may appear in bold and help you get more clicks (which may or may not help you rank better, all depending who you believe), but the words, themselves, do nothing to help you rank better in the meta description.

Meta tile and meta description should have 1 focus keyword or targeted keyword. You can use whatever terms like exact match keyword, broad match keyword, phrase match keyword or even long tail keyword. but make sure that keyword should have strong search volume and good competition. So, that you can get more traffic by improving that keyword position on search results.

The focus keyword is a field where you can insert a keyword or phrase. Once the keyword or phrase has been added, the plugin evaluates the page or post--including the SEO title, H1 tag, body copy, and other elements--to let you know how well you've optimized for your keyword or phrase.
Title tags are displayed on search engine results pages (SERPs) as the clickable headline for a given result and are important for usability, SEO, and social sharing. The title tag of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise description of a page's content.
Using Focus keyword on title you can easily rank your Website

    Hi Venkatesh Krishna,

There is no harm in using focus keyword on title tag and meta description. You need to focus on both things means your meta tags content should be the combination of informative and focus keywords. But you need to include the focus keywords in an informative manner because google prefer the informative one.

You should mix Relevancy and exact match keywords to avoid the case of over-optimization.
