Concerns with different countries competitor website

I am working on one website which provides Corporate & Business Consultanting service in Australia Wide. But I have noticed that my one competitor website is UK based and they offered the same service in UK Wide.

I have also checked their website content and service, they didn't tell anywhere on the website that they are providing Corporate & Business Consultanting service in Australia. Their service area only UK wide.

I have also checked their website backlinks. All backlinks domain are the UK Based. They didn't create/submission any backlinks AU based.

Now my concern how to possible that when I searched my keywords at google.com.au, then show the result at first Competitor site which service provided the only UK based.

If have any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Get some good quality backlinks from .au domains or the sites which are from Australia.

  • I'm not sure why it matters at all. They really are not a competitor if they are not offering the service to Australians. Sure, people can click on the listing but they will be disappointed and then click on the next link.
