    Nope!

In retrospect, it might even help, as Google tends to rank https site higher because they feel they are a better safer browsing experience for the web surfers.

If you want to SSL your site just use a plugin like WP Easy SSL.

SSL does affect SEO but it is only one of hundred factors that Google consider to rank a website in search engine result page. Having an SSL can be an advantage for you.

"My hosting provider doesn't allow ssl certificate."

My advice is to find another hosting provider ASAP. Not only is it a ranking factor, but you have until this summer to get an SSL before Chrome is going to start warning users that your site isn't secure.

Chrome makes up at least 40% of the browser usage in the US and most other countries. So, SSL's are no longer optional.

SSL certification provides the website as secure and Google consider this kind of domain as trusted source so that it can possibly rank your site for the targeted audience.

SSL offers security, data integrity and privacy for both your users and your own site.

The key function of SSL is to encrypt sensitive information sent online so that it's understood only by the person meant to receive it. That's vital because data you send over the internet is transmitted from one device to another before it reaches the destination server.

Yes, you are true that many hosting provider are not giving SSL certificate in their package and for that you will have to take SSL certificate separately from SSL provider. SSL certificate will help to boost ranking in SERPs. Also in coming future, it will become necessary for websites because if website will not enable SSL certificate for their domain then major browser like chorme will give non secure warning in the browser.

You can transfer your site to another hosting provider..simple as that..there are hosting providers that offers SLL for free, do your research.

The SLL certificate probably has little impact on you SEO currently but it's good to have it..In the future Google will most likely pay more attention to the security on any site no matter if it's a blog or e-com site..everybody will need to have it to rank well in the search engines..

I'm amazed your host doesn't provide SSL certification in this day and age. It should be a simple matter to switch hosts and get the certification you need.

And yes, it does make a difference to Google's algorithms.
