Hello All, I need help from all the experts regarding the SEO optimization of the website . Currently i am doing promotion of the website accountsnextgendotcomdotau and i am targeting the keyword "accountants melbourne" to rank my website home page in Google Australia.

Targeted keyword - accountants melbourne
Targeted search engine - Google Australia

Initially the title tag of my website was - Accountants In Melbourne | Taxation | Training | Loan & Business Advisory

With this title tag my website home page was ranking on 10th position of Google. Its Good

But few days back i decided to change the title tag of my website

Now the current title tag of my website is - Accountants In Melbourne,Tax Accounting,Training & Loan Services

After updating the title tag the ranking of my website drops suddenly and goes very down in search results.

Initially i was ranking on 10th position on Google with "Accountants Melbourne" keyword but after updating the title tag this ranking drops to 117th position on Google Australia

So, i want to know why this happens . Is this the effect of change in title tag or something else. Please suggest what to do

The easiest way to know the answer would be to switch it back to the way it was before and see what happens.

The real problem is you barely held position #10 and only got that position because someone else had a page rank drop to page #2 or another domain/page was deindexed/dropped.

You need to forget about position #10 and move up to at least position #5 or better for your keyword, that gives you room on page #1 to bounce up and down the search results page when competition pages are moving around the SERPs.

Change your page title back like it was and leave it alone, then start doing SEO, stronger followed internal/external links pointing at the page you want ranked. Build additional internal pages targeting the same keyword. Build up authority for the keyword.

I would focus on a title that will also optimize your page for clicks. Getting to page one is one thing, getting it to the top of the page means you have to get past RankBrain. So getting searchers to notice your title is big. Keep your main keyword where it is in the title then start playing around with ideas that will get people to click your link over the other pages ranking. Selling products you can add stuff like (On Sale Now) at the end of the title to get the clicks. Having something in parenthesis or brackets seems to draw the best attention. Good luck!

Revert back to your old title, use keywords strategically everywhere on your website (including pages), then let's see what happens after a week or two.
