Site is now 10 days old. I have done everything I can think of.
Submitted site map to google. Using google webmaster tools, Social bookmarks, Submitted articles to all and sundry.
Articles are indexed and ranking on first two pages of Google.
My site is just not indexed in Google at all!
What do I do next?
Suggestions are welcome.

  • Don't worry about getting your site indexed. You should use that time to build backlinks, web2.0 promotion, writing more content. It will take a while to get any sort of traffic with a new site so instead of worrying about just getting into the index put your energy towards productive measures. The backlinks will really push the process along.

You can also use Google Webmaster Tools to track the process. Maybe you have a setting wrong somewhere that the tools will help pick up.

    • Besides what you mentioned I also include it on some high traffic online forum signature and I do lots of back linking using Angela's backlink service.

I thank you for your responses, but
I am not new to this game, just to this forum,

Backlinks are built, site map submited to google webmaster tool, all "settings" are good. Static site not a blog.
All my other sites over the past 10 or 12 years have been indexed and ranked within two or three days. I am getting some traffic from article links and such.
Google will not index this site. Going on 13 days now.

It is a brand new domain, never registered before, so no history problems.

I just cant figure out whats going on.
Maybe someboby out there has some ideas beside the obvious.

  • Once Google crawls a relevant site with a link to your site they know about you. That's all it takes... now you just need to be patient and get to work on other things.

    • Google is crawling my site daily. but no indexing.

Last few sites were idexed and ranked within 3 days.
  • Im in the same position, its never happened to me before, I can't help thinking that google is doing some kind of updating. My google alerts are going crazy.

Ive also tried, everything, submitted sitemaps, rss feeds, webmaster tools, etc. My articles have been indexed in EZA and GoArticles so Im assuming that my site shouldve been indexed too. This is NOT good.

    Oh well...time will tell!
  • You may want to try adding more content to the site, and adding forum signatures. It'll happen soon, I'm sure...

    • Most of might sites take about a week to get indexed. Just keep building up more links.
  • I find that putting the google analytics code on the site helps. Also find your sites RSS feed submit it to google feedburner , and then submit that feed to the RSS directories also helps.

    • Yes, I had the same experience here.

Google Analytics code might help, although as of recently I will stop using Analytics and move to another service such as statcounter or similar...

I just don't like Google knowing absolutely EVERYTHING about my sites.

      A bit off-topic here, but... :-)
  • I bought a domain on the 8th and just today indexed (had google robots on the site the 1st day), same with a couple of other domains.... it seems to be google is just a little slow
  • I'm noticing it's taking Google longer to index sites. I think it might be due to the Google Caffeine update, which they might be rolling out into production now.
  • Don't worry. Continue creating back links to quality websites with higher PR, social bookmarking, article writing, forum posting and blog commenting.
  • After doing all those the only thing that you can do is to get some backlinks and then wait for a few days. You site will certainly get indexed. In the mean time get into building some good content.
  • man, 10 days is too short, seo is a long term business, Rome is not built in one day
    you should be patient
  • build some good and high pr bank links and you would see a change
  • I understand your frustration but I noticed that Google is a tad slow for past two weeks and my recent posts (from two weeks back) got indexed only yesterday. Give it a couple of days more, I'm sure it'll be up.
