GEO Tagging VS Site Speed

So I was taking courses on Local Business SEO. In The lessons it talks about geotagging the photos on your website. Which I thought was a good idea, geotagged them.

But later in the lessons, it speaks of making sure your site is fast. On google analytics, it showed that I could make my desktop version faster. It recommended compressing my photos to making it faster.

I did so, but it removed the Geotagging on the photos and I lost a crap ton of rankings. I was in 5th. Now I'm on the Second page.

Not the end of the world, but would you sacrifice speed for Geotagging or vice versa?

  • Site speed doesn't matter unless it shows a time out.
